Year 10
Celebrating Student Effort and Community Spirit
As we come to the close of a busy term, we take this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and unwavering commitment of our students. It has been a term full of learning, growth, and shared experiences that have highlighted the heart of our school community.
From the outset, many of our students have shown incredible initiative and compassion. A key highlight was the Year 10 Ministry’s Vinnies Winter Appeal Markets, held during recess times. This initiative raised much needed support for those in our wider community who are doing it tough this winter, and we are deeply proud of the generosity demonstrated by our students. We are also incredibly thankful for the generous support shown in raising funds for the Kawalazi community. The spirit of giving and global awareness that our students continue to demonstrate is something we are truly proud of. Towards the end of the term, we also had the opportunity to come together for a Reflection Day, focusing on the importance of positive relationships. This valuable time away from the classroom encouraged personal growth, deeper connections, and meaningful discussion.
Throughout the term, many of our students have proudly represented the school in sporting events, including the Athletics Carnival, showcasing teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. Equally impressive was the annual School Talent Show, a joyful celebration of creativity that gave students across all year levels a chance to shine, some of whom don’t often get the spotlight. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of talents on display. Our gifted musicians also took to the stage, treating us to a concert that was the perfect way to round off the term. Their dedication and passion continue to uplift our school community.
In addition, we commenced the Year 11 and 12 subject selection process, supporting students as they begin to shape their senior years and future pathways. This exciting time brings with it reflection and exploration as students make important choices for the next stage of their learning journey.
As we look ahead to next term, we are excited to continue our spiritual journey, with our annual retreat taking place in Week 3. We will also continue providing guidance and information regarding subject selection for the 2026–2027 school year.
Congratulations to those students who have received Commendation Awards over the term:
Jaxon Heida | Alisha Little | Cooper Shaw | Patrick Valentic |
Ashton Lockyer | Danielle Atkinson | Catherine Young | Ollie Jones |
Anna Matthew | Roman Pradhan | William Hawke | Payton McMurray |
Darcy Ryan | Cooper Gunther | Lola Mezzetti | Alexia Smith |
We thank all students, staff, and families for a wonderful term and wish everyone a safe and restful break.
