Assistant Principal - Learning and Teaching
Year 7-9 Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
Following this fortnight’s Year 7–9 Parent Student Teacher Conferences, I encourage families to use the new Engagement Continuum as a tool to reflect on and support learning at home.
The continuum helps students understand that true engagement in learning moves beyond simply participating in class, towards investing effort, and ultimately driving their own learning. By discussing where your child currently sits on the continuum, you can help them identify strengths, set meaningful goals, and take ownership of their progress. The aim is to develop and foster greater responsibility, motivation, and confidence, ensuring every student develops the skills needed for successful learning.
